Poll Taken at State of California Education Committee Hearing on Whether State Should Take Away Vaccine Exemptions

April 19, 2015 – On April 15, in Sacramento, CA, a hearing was convened at the California State Capitol where residents from all over the state came to voice their position on whether Vaccine Exemptions should be removed in favor of state mandated vaccination. At the hearing on Senate Bill #SB277, there was a vote tally of 53 or 7.1% in favor of the Removal of Vaccine Exemptions, compared to vote of 743 or 92.9% Against the Removal of Vaccine Exemptions. Some of those that came to oppose the Bill included civil rights attorneys claiming there would be more litigation upon the state if this should pass, and even a former employees of Merck was opposed to the removal of the Exemptions. However some ‘unofficial tallies’ were in conflict–one can only wonder why….
